The online registration is simply a platform that enables graduands enter vital details and pay to participate in the Congregation Ceremony as well as pick up certificates for their degrees. Prospective Graduands may use the platform to check their graduation status as well. It is strongly recommended that all graduands register online, whether they intend to participate, or simply pick up their certificates later.
You are required to check your academic records in good time to ensure that all grades appear, you have satisfied all the requirements of your programme and are therefore eleigible to graduate. You can review the requirements in your College's student handbook and compare to your online academic transcript in this regard. If in doubt about your eligibility, contact your College Academic Office for guidance.
There are several reasons why your name may be absent from the list after online registration opens. You need to contact the Academic Officer of your College immediately for investigation of the issue and guidance to resolve it. Graduation list will be posted online by the registration start date. If you check online before then, you will not find your name.
To check eligibity to graduate before the start of online registration, kindly see your College Academic Officer or relevant Departmental Academic Advisor.
Visit the University of Ghana Computing Systems (UGCS) Front Desk on the UGCS ground floor, UG Legon Campus, for assistance to re-acquire the pin. Please present a valid ID.
Registration to be featured in the Congregation Ceremony can be done online only and the deadline is in the general notice. After Ecobank closes at 4pm on this last day, payment for participation is still possible online via visa card or mastercard until 12 midnight that same day. Graduands who miss this deadline cannot be featured in the ceremony but may pick up their Certificates later after payment of a fee of Ghc500.00 at the Cash Office.

There may be a technical hitch. Report immediately to the Students Accounts Office at the Jones-Quartey Building (or call the Head on 0209114001) with proof of payment/ payment reciept information for rectification. This also applies to bank payments, if payment does not reflect after 24 hours. Failure to do so will lead to the assumption that you have not paid and your name will be omitted from the call list for the ceremony.

All ceremonies will be held att various venues as indicated in the notice. All of them will however be streamed from the UG website.
The ceremony is usually about two hours long.
Due to the formal nature of the ceremony, Graduands should wear formal attire (such as a suit /jacket with tie), smart national/traditional attire or other formal wear appropriate for portraits submitted. Inappropriate photographs will be rejected.

The Brochure will be made available in soft copy online for download prior to the ceremonies. You are entitled to a hard copy Congregation brochure for the session you attend. This will be issued to you when you pick up your certificate. This has information on the proceedings, officiants and class lists.
Registered Graduands will be assigned dates to pick up their Certificates after the congregation period is over. Graduands who do not register for the congregation ceremony may pay at the cash office to pick up their certificates as well.
Graduands may delegate another person to pick up their Certificates on their behalf from Room D8, Academic Affairs Directorate. In this respect, they are required to present a letter of authorization (endorsed by the Notary Public), with UG student ID from the Graduand, as well as any form of valid national identification for both.
Graduands who do not register online for congregation ceremony will still be graduated. They may pick up their Certificates after the Congregation Ceremonies. They will need clearance by the Students Accounts Unit, payment of a fee of Gh¢500.00 at the Cash Office. Certificates may be picked up in Room D8, Academic Affairs Directorate. UG ID will be required.
Alternately, the graduands may register online and elect from the options not to attend the ceremony. The online record of payment will be used to issue certificate in this regard.
Souvenirs may be purchased at the Alumni Centre or UG Information Centre.
