Verification of Academic Records

The Academic Affairs Directorate offers verification services for the academic records of past and present students to entities that require verification. 

You will have to send us the following documents: 

  1. A copy of the certificate 
  2. An official request letter 
  3. Letter/note of consent (stating UG Student ID number) from the candidate being verified
  4. Proof of payment for verification service

Please submit your service requests to academicverification@ug.edu.gh 

Mode of Issuance of Verification

  • Local verification of academic certificate (Physical document pick-up or online delivery): 30 Ghana Cedis per verification/copy.
  • Foreign verification of academic certificate (Online delivery only): 10 US Dollars per verification/copy.
  • Local verification of academic certificate (Physical document delivery via courier): 85 Ghana Cedis per verification/copy.
  • Foreign verification of academic certificate (Physical document delivery via courier): 55 US Dollars per verification/copy.

Responses are typically completed within one week of service request submission. Larger requests may take longer. To meet any deadlines, please submit requests promptly.
