Verification of Academic Records

Institutions requiring verification of academic records of past students of the University of Ghana will have to send us the following documents: 

  1. A copy (copies) of the certificate(s) scanned together as one pdf document
  2. An official request letter
  3. Letter/note of consent (stating UG Student ID number) from the candidate being verified
  4. Proof of payment for verification service (payment made at the Cash Office of the University of Ghana)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Students/graduates requiring verification may submit their application through the transcript request app on the sts portal

Mode of Issuance of Verification

  • Local verification of academic certificate (Physical document pick-up or online delivery): 30 Ghana Cedis per verification/copy.
  • Foreign verification of academic certificate (Online delivery only): 10 US Dollars per verification/copy.
  • Local verification of academic certificate (Physical document delivery via courier): 85 Ghana Cedis per verification/copy.
  • Foreign verification of academic certificate (Physical document delivery via courier): 55 US Dollars per verification/copy.

Responses are typically completed within one week of service request submission. Larger requests may take longer. To meet any deadlines, please submit requests promptly.
