During the admissions period, support will be available at the Admissions Assistance Desk, usually located at the UG Stadium. Please note that acceptance to the University is based on whether your programme choices meet the admission cut-offs for that year. That is why applicants are given the opportunity to change their selection before closure of the applications portal.
Make sure you are fully enrolled and then notify the Academic Affairs Directorate via your official UG student email account before Matriculation at aad@ug.edu.gh with supporting documents.
Your offer will be forfeited.

Write to admissions@ug.edu.gh providing the relevant official academic records from your home university. This should be done three months before the start of the academic year you intend to enrol.
Specific information on payment points is provided with the admission letter. Payments can be made online through the UG Payments Portal or at designated banks on and off campus. Please note that payment points vary for different programmes of study.
Obtain and keep the payment receipt; Wait for your account to be cleared within 48 hours and then register promptly. To resolve any related problems, proceed to the Students Accounts Office with proof of payment and admission documents, for support or email them at studentsaccounts@ug.edu.gh.
This request can only be supported before the deadline indicated in the admission letter. Fill the Refund Request Form on the STS portal, print out and sign. Using your UG student email account, email the form with a request for withdrawal & refund, payment receipts, and a copy of the admission letter before that deadline to the Director, Academic Affairs at aad@ug.edu.gh.
Yes, subject to approval; the University has a credit policy. In good time, before that deadline of course registration, send an official email request using your official student email account to the Director, Academic Affairs at aad@ug.edu.gh for consideration. After that deadline, this cannot be supported and students will be required to request for deferment of their programme on the STS portal.
Submit a “Missing Grade” complaint via University student services; access the interface through STS or start from the Student Services page.

Visit the relevant Departments to check the teaching timetables from the Notice Boards and General Offices. You may also receive that information on the SAKAI page of the courses.
Report to the relevant Head of Department or Examinations Officer for resolution.
Notify the Teaching and Examinations Unit (Room D7) of the Academic Affairs Directorate promptly via your UG student email account at teu-academic@ug.edu.gh.

If your name is not on the class attendance list, it may indicate that you have not registered for the course; please review your registration proof and register if registration is still open. If registration is closed, such students will be ineligible to take the final exam and will be permitted to undertake the outstanding course at the next available opportunity on request to the Director, AAD at aad@ug.edu.gh.
If you miss the final exams for a course, you will receive a grade of 'X' for the course and will be able to register to undertake and write examinations for that course at the next available opportunity. Students who miss examinations due to ill health may however send an email with an official medical report to aad@ug.edu.gh before the start of the next semester. Such students will be awarded a grade I.

Check for a push notification on the case via the STS portal. You may also use your official UG student email account to send an email to bcsecretariat@ug.edu.gh providing the necessary details to enable a check to be undertaken.
Deferment is handled under AAD Academic Support & Services—follow the guidance and submit any required documentation within the stated window.
At the end of your deferment, resume according to the earlier issued deferment approval letter from AAD, Follow the instructions and timelines. Confirm any clearances with your College Academic Office.
Follow AAD procedures and published deadlines; start from AAD Resources and contact AAD for current forms and timelines.
Write to the Academic Affairs Directorate to submit an application for programme change within the stated requirements and timeline.

Yes, there is a deadline for every academic year; It is the same as the course registration deadline for every first semester of the academic year.

Submit an emailed official request through the Head of Department to the Dean of the School, supported by academic performance evidence and provide details of course(s) to be added.
Typically, students with excellent academic records and good attendance are considered. It is recommended that students performing badly do not apply.
If approved, it should not negatively affect your standing; however, students must maintain good academic performance.
For Core and Elective courses as well as HERCs courses, contact the Examiner for the course directly for support. The Head of the Academic Department may be contacted if the delay extends.

Review the online DiGradSys for information on why you cannot graduate and take action to resolve any outstanding issues. You may also contact the relevant College Academic Office for guidance.
Gowns are collected at the relevant collection points during specified dates before ceremonies: Collection of Gowns | Academic Affairs
Clearance from the Financial and other University Units, and online registration for congregation.
Authorize a representative through a formal letter with valid national ID cards and UG ID card.
Return to the same designated gown collection point. Note that there is a penalty for late return.
You will be liable for replacement costs; consult the Teaching and Examinations Unit of the Academic Affairs Directorate for procedures.
