On behalf of Management of the University of Ghana, I welcome you all to the February 2025 Congregation ceremonies, at which the University will confer degrees on undergraduate and graduate students from all four colleges and the Accra City Campus who completed their programmes of study during the 2023/2024 academic year.

Our heartfelt congratulations to you, graduating students, on your hard work and diligence, which have earned you the right to be awarded the degrees for which your studies have entitled you.

Your perseverance through the challenges of the global pandemic, which affected the modes of teaching in your early years at the University, is a strong indication of your resilience and commitment. We are very proud of each one of you.

We also extend our deepest appreciation to all parents and guardians for your unflinching support that enabled the students to pursue their studies successfully. Your presence, duty of care and encouragement have been vital to their success.

Over the years, the University of Ghana has been driven by its vision to become a world-class research-intensive university. We have created an enabling environment that makes the University increasingly relevant to national and global development through cutting-edge research and high-quality teaching and learning. Your success today is a reflection of this ongoing commitment.

Looking forward, the University of Ghana has just adopted a new five-year Strategic Plan (2024-2029) with the aspiration to transform lives and societies through unparallelled scholarship, innovation and result-oriented discoveries and a vision to achieve global impact through innovative research, teaching and learning, using a technology-driven and people-centred approach. Our goal is to build upon our past successes, while embracing the need for transformative change in teaching, learning, research and institution-building. As alumni of this University, we will count on you to support us in achieving our goal in whatever way you can.

Stepping into the next chapter of your journey, we encourage you to carry forward the ethos of our University: 'Integri Procedamus.' Let this guiding principle remind you to always 'Proceed with Integrity.

In all your endeavours, let integrity be your compass, guiding every decision and action you take. Always strive to contribute positively to society and the world around you, thus leaving a legacy that truly reflects the spirit of the University of Ghana.

We wish you every success as you pursue your future aspirations. Hearty congratulations and all the best!

Ayekoo!
