CEO Hands Over Construction Site for Elevator for Dental Department

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the hospital, Dr. Yakubu Seidu Adam, has officially handed over the designated site for the commencement of work on the installation of an elevator for the Dental Department.The project is funded through the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF).

The project aims to improve access to healthcare services, particularly for patients with mobility challenges, the elderly, pregnant women, and hospital staff.In his remarks, the CEO expressed sincere appreciation to the DACF for its crucial support to the hospital.Dr. Adam noted that the elevator would significantly reduce the physical burden on staff and enhance patient comfort and safety, especially during emergency situations.

Mr. Edmund Asare reaffirmed the DACF’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery. He emphasised that the donation reflects the Fund’s dedication to improving public health infrastructure and ensuring inclusive access to healthcare services.The contractor, Mr. Yawson Otoo, assured management of his team’s readiness to commence work immediately. He pledged to execute the project according to specifications and complete the construction within the agreed timeframe of four months.The project aligns with national health and infrastructure development goals, as well as disability-friendly healthcare standards.

Upon completion, the elevator is expected to greatly enhance patient movement, improve emergency response, and support efficient healthcare delivery.The ceremony was witnessed by a representative of the District Assembly, Mr. Edmund Asare; the project contractor, Mr. Yawson Otoo of Lifts and Elevators Limited Company; the Director of Medical Affairs, Dr. Frank Owusu Sekyere; the Acting Director of General Services, Mrs. Cynthia Gyakye; the Head of New Allied Surgery, Dr. Kenneth Baidoo; the Head of the Dental Unit, Dr. Matthew Boamah; the Head of Public Relations, Mr. Mustapha Salifu; Dr. Kafui Searyoh; Dr. Mary N. A. Adamafio; Dr. Richardar Taylor Dawson; Mr Phanuel Gedzie, the Executive Assistant to the CEO and other stakeholders.
