
Dr. Mamta Thadani is a lecturer/consultant at the University of Ghana Dental School, since 2016, where she passionately imparts knowledge and skills to the next generation of dental professionals. She is currently heading the Paedodontic unit of the Department of Orthodontics and Paedodontics. She is also a Fellow of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. She was the first Paedodontist in Ghana.
Dr. Mamta completed her bachelor’s degree from Meenakshi Ammal Dental College and later pursued her master’s degree in Paedodontics and Preventive Dentistry from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai, India, in 2007. She is committed to promoting oral health and well-being in children and adolescents including those with special health care needs.
Dr. Mamta is a member of the prestigious Ghana Dental Association and is the president of the Association of Paediatric Dentists of Ghana. She is also a member of the International Association of Pediatric Dentistry, the Indian Society of Paedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, and the International Association of Dental Traumatology, to name a few.
She has to her credit several publications and continues to participate in other research areas geared towards effectively managing children with oral health issues.
