As part of the many activities to mark this year’s World Oral Day celebration, The University of Ghana Dental School embarked on an Oral Health awareness and education during the month of March.

The University of Ghana Dental School organized a debate between the Final year students of the UG-Dental School and KNUST- Dental School. It was on the theme of the 2025 World Oral Health Day “A Happy mouth is a Happy mind”. UG was for the motion while KNUST was against the motion. It was an opportunity to compete and learn in a fun environment giving the students a transformative experience.

Though it was a fierce battle, UG-Dental School came out victorious.  The debaters (Ariel Ama Afriyie Ababio,Meekderick Agyeman, Sarah Ansomaa Asare, ) together with the Chairperson of the planning committee,(Dr. Akua Boakyewaa Konadu) Dean (Prof Sandra Hewlett)and School Administrator (Mrs Selie Baiden) presented the trophy to the Provost of the College of health Sciences.
