The Merian Institute for Advanced Studies in Africa (MIASA) is organizing a virtual Round Table on „African-German Research Cooperation and Postdoctoral Funding Opportunities“, together with the DAAD and the Alexander-von-Humboldt Foundation, on Tuesday 19th October 2021, 10:00am-12:00pm (UTC), via Zoom.

The event will be introduced by representatives of the main German funding organizations with an overview of their funding programs. This will be followed by contributions by scholars who have received or are currently receiving post-doctoral funding from a German institution on their experiences and recommendations for colleagues. Afterwards we will have a Q&A session where participants can get specific information.

This event is specifically directed to postdoctoral researchers from Africa interested in funding opportunities for research stays in Germany or other African countries as well as for postdoctoral researchers from Africa and Germany interested in funding opportunities for African-German research cooperations.

The event is part of the „German Week“ - a series of events initiated and organized by German organizations and institutions in Ghana.
