Public Round Table Discussion on “Female Academic Careers in Africa: Strategies and Funding”

The Roundtable takes place in the context of a workshop on Female Academic Careers in Africa offered by the Merian Institute for Advanced Studies in Africa (MIASA), University of Ghana, in collaboration with the German Historical Institute Paris and the Heinrich Boell Foundation Senegal. It is mainly funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in Germany. The workshop brings together 23 early career female scholars from across Africa. It is framed in a hybrid way with groups meeting in Dakar, Bamako and Accra as well as one only-online group.

The Roundtable will be in English and French and will offer simultaneous translation service in both directions.
La table ronde se déroule dans le cadre d'un atelier sur les carrières universitaires féminines en Afrique organisé par le Merian Institute for Advanced Studies in Africa (MIASA), Université du Ghana, en collaboration avec l'Institut historique allemand de Paris et la Fondation Heinrich Boell Sénégal. Il est principalement financé par le ministère fédéral de l'éducation et de la recherche (BMBF) en Allemagne. L'atelier réunit 23 femmes chercheurs en début de carrière venant de différents pays à travers l'Afrique. Il est organisé de manière hybride avec des groupes se réunissant à Dakar, Bamako et Accra ainsi qu'un groupe uniquement en ligne
