Department of Materials Science and Engineering Shines at WearUG 2024
On the 20th of November 2024, the Department of Materials Science and Engineering joined the University of Ghana community in celebrating 75 years of excellence and impact at WearUG 2024. This special event saw students, faculty, and staff proudly dressed in unique anniversary-themed cloth that featured the University of Ghana logo and the number "75" boldly printed to commemorate the milestone.
A Display of Unity and Pride
The department came together to embody the spirit of unity and tradition through beautiful and symbolic attire. The vibrant cloth, carefully designed to celebrate the university’s rich heritage, was worn in various styles, showcasing creativity and diversity within the department.
Students embraced their roles as ambassadors of the department by pairing the cloth with formal and traditional designs, reflecting their pride in being part of an institution that has nurtured innovation and excellence for seven and a half decades. Faculty and staff also adorned the anniversary cloth with elegance, demonstrating their commitment to the values of the University of Ghana.
