
Prof. Ebenezer Annan
About
Ebenezer received his first degree in Physics from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana in 2000. Based on his academic performance and teachable skills, he was accepted as a Teaching Assistant at the Department for two consecutive academic years (2001/2002-2002/2003). Prof. Annan then travelled to United Kingdom in 2003 as a DFID scholar to read MSc (Applied Physics). By 2006, He has successfully obtained two Master degrees from University of Hull and University of Sunderland, United Kingdom. He later read PGDE (Physics) from University of Strathclyde, Scotland in 2008. He started work at the University of Ghana from October, 2009 as an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. He completed PhD (Materials Science and Engineering) at Nelson Mandela Institute- African University of Science and Technology. This research was sponsored by Carnegie Co-operation of New York Project at the University of Ghana, Ghana, for faculty development.
As a lecturer at the Department of Materials science and Engineering, University of Ghana, he carries out research in the area of eco-materials, ceramics and water purification. He was a visiting scholar at Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Tufts University in 2014. Ebenezer Annan is a member of African materials research society (A-MRS), and also member of Materials Research Society (MRS).
