University of Ghana’s Distance Education Management System Workshop

In a decisive move to modernise and streamline administrative processes within Distance Education, the Department of Distance Education, under the leadership of Prof. Samuel Amponsah, organised a transformative four-day residential workshop from 30th July to 2nd August 2025 at the Capital View Hotel, Koforidua. The aim was to design and develop a comprehensive online management system that would serve as a central hub for integrating and managing operational data across the Department.

Distance Education Student Forum

The Department of Distance Education's Student Support Unit held its maiden student forum for the 2024/2025 academic year on March 7th, 2025, via Microsoft Teams. The virtual event attracted over 1,000 participants, including students and faculty. Aligned with the University of Ghana's strategic plan, the forum aimed to enhance student engagement and address concerns about examinations and academic integrity.

Workshop to develop an employability framework for the University of Ghana

STRENGTHENING THE EMPLOYABILITY JOURNEY OF STUDENTS THROUGH COL

The University of Ghana's Department of Distance Education, in collaboration with the Commonwealth of Learning, held a two-day workshop from the February 3rd to 4th February 2025 to develop an employability framework for the university. By the end of the workshop, an employability framework for the University of Ghana had been developed based on the COL Employability Model.
