The Department of Chemistry will proudly host the 22nd Annual Ghana Chemical Society Meeting and International Conference from 13 th – 15th October 2026 at ISSER, University of Ghana, Legon, under the theme “Chemistry for a Healthier Planet: Leveraging Smart Materials, AI, and Partnerships for Climate Resilience and Well-being”. The event will bring together leading voices in science, industry, and policy. Distinguished speakers include Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo (Vice-Chancellor, University of Ghana), Prof. Nana Ama Browne Klutse (CEO, Environmental Protection Agency, Ghana), Prof. Michael Forde (President, Commonwealth Chemistry), Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong (CEO, Zoomlion Ghana Limited & Jospong Group), Emeritus Prof. Neil Coville (University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa), Prof. Richard Amewu (University of Ghana), Dr. Felipe Fantuzzi (University of Kent, UK), Dr. Yaw Osafo (CEO, Medicos Hospital, Ghana), Dr. Silas Owusu-Nkwantabish (PPG Automotive Coatings, USA), and Mr. Moses Abeiku Paintsil (Ghana Water Limited).
