The Department of Chemistry, University of Ghana – Legon proudly launches the Alumni Seminar Series, an initiative designed to connect our students with distinguished alumni and global researchers. We are honored to begin this series with Dr. Ernest Opoku, School of Science Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA.

About the Speaker
Dr. Opoku earned his B.Sc. (Honors) and M.Phil. degrees from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) before completing his Ph.D. at Auburn University. His research focuses on next generation electron propagator methods and quantum embedding techniques for high accuracy electronic structure theory, with applications in molecular spectroscopy across gas and condensed phases.
Following his presentation, Dr. Opoku will also share insights into the research landscape and graduate study opportunities at MIT.
