University Colleges / Institutions in Ghana Affiliated to UG

Associations and Links 

The University of Ghana is a member of the International Association of Universities (IAU), the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), the Association of African Universities (AAU) and the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA). The University has also established academic and research links with several other Universities and Research Institutions worldwide and is linked to the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN), Norwegian Universities’ Committee for Development Research and Education (NUFU), the Council for International Educational Exchange (CIEE), International Student Exchange Programmes (ISEP) and the Commonwealth Universities Student Exchange Consortium (CUSAC), among others.

Currently, there are twenty-one (21) institutes/colleges locally which hold affiliation with the University of Ghana for the purpose of enrolment, teaching and award of degrees and diplomas of the  University.  These affiliations cover non-degree, bachelor’s degree and post-graduate degree programmes.

The Accra College of Medicine (“ACM”) is a premier private and independent Medical College set up to provide cutting-edge medical education in Ghana. ACM provides world-class medical education that is research oriented and tailored towards solving Ghana and Africa’s health problems. We aim to train medical practitioners who are professional and ethical, scientists, innovators and, educators with the commitment to lifelong learning and making a difference in the community.

We are a tertiary institution established under the auspices of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra in 2007. CIBT is accredited by the National Accreditation Board and Affiliated to the University of Ghana. Our first batch of graduates completed their studies at the end of the 2011/2012 academic year. There is something special about CIBT. It is located in the centre of Accra and is compact and not too large. Therefore we are able to maintain a friendly campus community and no student is missing in the crowd.

The African University College of Communications (AUCC), formerly known as the Africa Institute of Journalism and Communications (AIJC), is a private tertiary institution established in 2002 by Hon. Kojo Yankah. Honourable Yankah, the first President of AUCC, was former Editor of Daily Graphic, Ghana's widest circulation newspaper; nine years Director of the Ghana Institute of Journalism, seven years Minister of State, and eight years as Member of Parliament AIJC admitted the first batch of Diploma students for its Communication Studies programme in 2002, and was formally accredited as a tertiary institution by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) in 2004.

Christian Service University College is devoted to excellence in teaching, learning and research and to developing leaders in many disciplines who make a difference globally. The University, which is based in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, Kumasi, has graduated  over 6,500 degree candidates, including undergraduate, graduate, and professional students.
