Research Interest

Dr. Albert Kpoor’s key research interests include gendered household headship, household livelihood strategies, single female parent households and their coping strategies, decision-making processes of single mothers, and the socio-economic and cultural impacts on the Ghanaian traditional family structure.

Research Grants and Fellowship:

2010 - Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship Program (CCSP) award as PhD Exchange Student at Simon Fraser University in Canada.

2013-2015 - University of Ghana and Carnegie Corporation Next Generation of African Scholars Fellowship (PhD Fellowship).
