About
Dr Richmond Acquah-Coleman teaches Industrial and Organisational Psychology at the University of Ghana. He holds a Ph.D. from the same institution, where he studied innovation adoption and the well-being of agricultural workers. He has worked as a licensed psychologist for over 10 years. His research focuses on occupational mental health, organisational behaviour, culture management, and employee assistance programs. He studies how worker wellbeing impacts organisational performance. Dr Acquah-Coleman manages the Practicum Programme for MPhil students, finding placements that match organisational needs. He consults for public and private organisations, creating Employee Assistance Programmes, conducting stress-risk audits, and running leadership workshops. His work bridges academic research with practical applications in the workplace for Ghanaian organisations. He mentors new psychologists who practice evidence-based methods in Ghana. As the current National President of the Ghana Psychological Association, he leads the Ghana Mental Health Index project and collaborates with government institutions to integrate psychological science into national policy. He aims to help Ghanaian people and organisations succeed through applied psychological science.
