Undergraduate Admissions

Overview

Psychology studies mind and behavior using scientific methods across biological, cognitive, developmental and social perspectives. It links theory with real problems in health, education, business and community life. At UG you can study Psychology as a BA or BSc, building strong foundations in research methods and statistics with options to advance into applied areas.

Aims & Objectives

By the end of the programme, students should be able to:

  • Explain core theories across cognitive, biological, developmental and social psychology.
  • Apply scientific reasoning, ethics and cultural context to psychological questions.
  • Design basic studies, collect and analyse data, and interpret results for decision-making.
  • Use digital tools for analysis and reporting (e.g., statistical software, survey tools).
  • Communicate findings clearly in writing and presentations.
  • Connect psychology to Ghanaian and African needs in health, education, organisations and community settings.
