Graduate Lecture Room, Department of Psychology, University of Ghana

The Department of Psychology invites you to a special seminar on lived experience as a form of expertise in mental health research.

Ms Esenam Abra Drah and Dr Lily N. A. Kpobi will share what they learned from working with peer researchers. Peer researchers bring direct, personal knowledge of mental health to the research process. The speakers will reflect on how this collaboration strengthens research, the practical questions it raises, and what it means for mental health work in Ghana.

The seminar will interest students and staff in clinical, health, and community psychology, as well as anyone working in mental health advocacy. Staff, students, and the public are welcome.

Join us in the Graduate Lecture Room on Wednesday, 15 July 2026, at 12:00pm.
