The Department of Psychology invites you to a special seminar marking the Day of Scientific Renaissance for Africa. Professor Charles C. Mate-Kole will speak on the mental health effects of discrimination in a contemporary society.
The talk looks at how discrimination shapes psychological wellbeing today. Professor Mate-Kole draws on his work in clinical and ageing psychology to show how unfair treatment affects mental health across the life course, and what this means for individuals and communities in Africa.
The seminar runs in partnership with the Centre for Ageing Studies. Staff, students, and the public are welcome to attend.
Join us at the Kofi Drah Conference Centre on Wednesday, 17 June 2026, from 10:00am to 11:00am.
