The dynamic demands of healthcare delivery, management, and administration of healthcare institutions in current times pose a challenge in the continuous updating of curricula to satisfy those demands. The department, therefore, works continuously to improve nursing practice, education, research, and administration.
The Research, Education, and Administration department of the School of Nursing and Midwifery is an important unit that plays a coordinating role with all the departments. The department handles all the research, education, and administrative courses of the School. Courses offered by the departments ensure that graduates from the School fit very well into the working world, both locally and internationally. Leadership and management roles of nurses and midwives are handled by the department, as well as nurturing their research capabilities.
The department teaches at the undergraduate, master's, and PhD levels, though it has students only at the graduate level. The department also offers short courses to nurses and midwives. Currently, the department is working hard to secure a grant from the international partners.
