The Departments of Music in collaboration with the Theatre Arts Department, presents "Esther – A Musical" by Richard Cowling, as part of the End of Semester Concert series. This production is mounted by the Choral Ensemble as a culminating performance project, that brings together vocal training, dramatic interpretation, and stagecraft within a fully realised musical theatre context.

Esther – A Musical situates choral performance within narrative and theatrical frameworks, that requiries students to negotiate singing, movement, and characterisation simultaneously. The production therefore foregrounds the commitment by the department to performance as both artistic practice and pedagogical method.

The work draws on the biblical story of Esther, reinterpreted through music, drama, and ensemble performance and is directed by Professor Martin Owusu and Dr. Benjamin Amakye Boateng the Head of Department.
