Nicholas Zinzendorf Nayo
Nicholas Zinzendorf Nayo was an educationist and composer from Ghana. From 1973-1975, he was the first director of the National Academy of Music in Winneba.

Emmanuel Gyimah Labi was a well-known composer whose compositions were performed throughout North America, Europe, and Africa. In 1971, he became a member of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation Orchestra., where he played the cello and was also involved in composition.

Bice Osei Kuffour is a Ghanaian hiplife musician known popularly by the name Obuor, which means "stone" in the Akan language. He is the immediate past president of the Musicians Union of Ghana, an umbrella group that unites all musicians in Ghana irrespective of genre.

Akin Euba
Akin Euba was a composer, musicologist, and pianist from Nigeria. He studied under Charles Seeger, Roy Travis, and others at UCLA, where he earned his B.A. and M.A. He later received his Ph.D. in ethnomusicology from the University of Ghana. Professor Nketia oversaw Euba's doctoral work on the topic of "Dundun Music of the Yoruba.”

James Varrick Armaah is a Ghanaian composer and the founder of Harmonious Chorale. He had his Diploma in Music as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Ghana.
