The Department of Music, University of Ghana, warmly invites the university community and the general public to its End of Semester Concert, featuring performances by its African Ensembles. This concert presents a culmination of practical work undertaken by students over the semester, highlighting ensemble-based approaches to music-making within Ghanaian and African traditions. The performances will showcase a range of idioms including Jama, atenteben, adenkum, and dance-music, that reflects pedagogical engagement and artistic interpretation by the students.

Beyond performance, the event offers an opportunity to experience how students negotiate tradition, technique, and ensemble coordination in live settings. It also speaks to the continued commitment to practice-led training in African musical forms by the department.
