The Department of Music is thrilled to announce its first musical performance for the semester dubbed the "Akwaaba night," and it features the energetic Nkyinkyim band. 

The Department of Music at the School of Performing Arts (SPA), University of Ghana recently held a send-off party in honor of Professor Austin Oghenemaro Emielu, who completed his seven years tenure as a visiting scholar in the department. The event, attended by Prof Emielu's family, students, and colleagues, glowing paid tribute to his significant contributions to the department and highlighted his extensive works.

The Department of Music, in collaboration with the Nkyinkyim Band, is thrilled to present "Akwaaba Live," a welcome-back-to-school concert at the Department's courtyard on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 6:30 pm.
