PROFILE:
I attended Voronezh State University from 1986 to1987 were I earned a Preparatory faculty Certificate. I continued to the Kuban State University. Krasnodar, Russia, from 1987 to1992, where I earned an MA in Philology. I also hold a PhD in Philology from the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute. Moscow, Russia from 1994-1998.
I was appointed as Lecturer as the University of Ghana in August 2007. In August 2017 I was appointed as the Coordinator of the Russian Section of the Department of Modern Languages. My areas of special competence are translation, peace keeping and refugee studies.

“Russia and the UN-Convention of 1951, Russian Teenage Nationalists and the Security of Refugees and Foreigners in Russia by Rebecca Santana, a Voice of America Correspondent, Moscow Bureau, 3rd October, 2001.
Was interviewed by an American Journalist, Kevin McNeer on the life in Russia before and after the break- up of the Soviet Union, the interview was published in the “Capital Perspective” a magazine for foreigners and expatriates in Russia (January-February 2002 issue).
SOME CONFERENCES ORGANISED:
1) Organized an International Conference on UN Peace Keeping Operation on 3rd of November, 2006 at the Teachers Hall. Reference, GTV News, 3rd November, 2006. Ghana Website, Ghana News Agency report 4th November 2006. In attendance were officers from the diplomatic missions in Accra, officials from UN and International Non-Governmental Organizations and others. The Guest of honor was the then Deputy Minister of Defense, Mr. William Ofori Boafo, spoke on International Peacekeeping Operations. Dr. Albert Antwi Boasiako gave a detailed presentation on Peacekeeping operation, a UN official also gave a detailed analysis of the topic.
2) Organized a forum on the need for peaceful election as a Patron of the Asante students’ Union (forum was attended by parliamentary aspirants and representatives of political parties, SRC and other student bodies, November 2011.
3) The role of humanitarian agencies in assisting refugees in times of crisis, November 1996 in Moscow at the State Institute of Russian Language named after Pushkin.
