Welcome to the Legal Affairs Directorate (LAD) of the University of Ghana.

The Directorate is committed to providing professional, responsive, and strategic legal services that support the University’s mission of excellence in teaching, learning, research, and service. As the University’s in-house legal office, LAD serves as a trusted partner in ensuring sound governance, legal compliance, and effective institutional decision-making.

Our work spans a broad range of legal and governance matters, including contracts and agreements, policy development and review, dispute resolution, litigation management, governance advisory services, compliance oversight, and other institutional legal needs.

In addition to its institutional mandate, the Directorate provides limited legal support services to members of the University community in accordance with applicable policies and guidelines.

We continuously strive to provide timely, practical, and solution-driven legal support that advances the University’s strategic goals and protects its institutional interests.
