Mrs.Sewoenam Chachu (Dr.)

Dr Chachu is a senior lecturer and the immediate past Head of the Department of French, University of Ghana. She has gained work experience in translation, interpretation and bilingual telephone research. At the undergraduate level, she has handled the following courses;  Orals and Informal written expression, Orals and formal written expression,, Teaching of French as a foreign language, French Grammar and Translation, Semantics and Pragmatics of French, and Linguistics and Didactics. Dr Chachu has in her repertoire many publications such as, I am speaking French but I am thinking in English: Another source of errors in foreign language learning (2016) amongst others. Dr Chachu has been a beneficiary of awards and research grants such  as Mellon Foundation/College of Humanities REHURE fellowship award for 2018-2020 In addition, Dr Chachu holds a Diplôme de didactique du français sur objectifs spécifiques (DDIFOS) – Certificate in Teaching French for Specific Purposes, CIEP, France. She is also a certified examiner and corrector of DELF and DALF examinations.
