My academic Journey
As a student studying French, from L100 which is my first year, I engaged with two classes targeted at improving my grammar and my expression ( oral and written).
In my 2nd year, my classes become three where I'm introduced to literature in an interesting form without the fear surrounding that area of study.
Getting to my third year, I am to take two required courses but have a diversity of electives to choose from such as translation, FLE, french for specific purposes and linguistics. I equally have the choice to either major in only french or combine French with another course. However, here comes my opportunity to go for a year long language emersion program where some go to France on self sponsorship or a francophone country on government sponsorship. This is an experience that boasts my oral experience and all that concerns French.
Finally in my last year, I continue my French studies depending on the program option from the third year and this brings an end to my academic journey as an undergrad.
