Daniel Ananey- Obiri, a graduate from the University of Ghana is the proud recipient of the Accra Brewery Limited prize for Best Student in Food Process Engineering award for the 2015/2016 academic year, sponsored by Accra Brewery Limited (ABL).
Mr Ananey-Obiri received a new laptop and cash of GHC 5,000 at the Vice Chancellor’s Academic Awards ceremony at the university’s Great Hall. ABL has been an annual sponsor of this award since 2007.
Accra Brewery Limited (ABL), a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABInBev), the world’s leading brewer, has rewarded Ms. Madina Salihu of the University of Ghana’s Food Process Engineering Department for emerging as the Department’s best graduating student for the 2016/2017 academic year.
Ms. Madina Salihu, during the ceremony held at the University of Ghana’s Great Hall, received a brand new laptop, GHC 5,000.00 and an 8-week internship opportunity at ABL.
What if after a few years of learning the theoretical aspect of brewing at the university lecture hall, you actually get an opportunity to observe how beer is brewed and bottled?
Well, that will be truly an exciting experience and worth any students’ time. That is what approximately 30 students of the University of Ghana’s Food Process Engineering Department experienced when they toured the plant of Accra Brewery Limited (ABL).
This is part of the company’s support towards tertiary education, which is realised through our investment in a Growing World where everyone has the opportunity to improve their livelihood.
The students’ tour began with listening to a presentation on the genesis of brewing beer as well as an engaging micro brewing session.
