BMEN 609: Technology & Engineering Principles in Medicine

This course will provide an examination of technology and its impact on medicine, with emphasis on the intersection of engineering with medicine and health. Basic foundations of historical perspective, constraints on technological development in medicine will be discussed. Planned topics include: drug development and pipelines, hospital technology management, implants with emphasis on medical devices other novel rehabilitative devices.
