Admission Requirements
General Admission Pathway
Students interested in Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology (BCMB) must first apply to the Biological Sciences program at Level 100. During this year, they gain foundational knowledge in life sciences.
In Level 200, students select their area of specialization, such as BCMB.
Admission Requirements for Biological Sciences
- Core Subjects: English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science, Social Studies
- Electives: Biology, Chemistry, Physics
Specializing in BCMB
After Level 100, students are ranked based on their GPA. Those with stronger academic records are prioritized for their first-choice program, such as Biochemistry.
If not selected for the first choice, students may be placed in their second choice, provided they meet the program’s entry requirements.
Note
It is strongly advised to indicate more than one preference during specialization to increase your chances of acceptance into a preferred program.
Refer to the official University of Ghana website or admissions office for the most accurate and updated information.
