Research interest 
My research is in the area of fisheries and aquaculture with particular interest in the assessment of the efficacy of pre- and probiotics in reducing/preventing mortalities due to bacterial and parasitic diseases in cultured fish.

Current research/project(s)
1. Composition and evaluation of commercial probiotic products used in Nile tilapia culture in Ghana
2. Impact of beach sand temperatures on nesting and hatching of sea turtles at the Muni-Pomadze Ramsar site in Ghana.
3. Microbial and nutritional quality of fish along the dried anchovy value chain

Past research projects
i. Evaluation of the probiotic Lymnozyme® as an effective control of columnaris infection in juvenile channel catfish Ictalurus punctatus.
ii. Effects of the commercially-available probiotic product PondToss™ on the production of channel catfish from juvenile to market size in earthen ponds.
iii. Effects of feeding two probiotic strains of Bacillus subtilis and of the prebiotic, Previda® on growth, immune parameters and susceptibility to Aeromonas hydrophila infection in Nile tilapia Oreochromis niloticus.
iv. Feeding effects of probiotic strains and their combination on Streptococcus iniae susceptibility in Nile tilapia Oreochromis niloticus.
v. Prevalence of parasitic agents infesting cultured Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus (Linnaeus 1758) in Bong County, Liberia.
