About
Assistant Lecturer with the Department of Theatre Arts, School of Performing Arts, University of Ghana, where I teach, lighting design, stagecraft, and theatre techniques. As a technical theatre consultant and a lighting expert, I, have mounted several lighting design projects for National and International communities in Ghana and installed lighting fixtures for a couple of theatre buildings. I have been providing lighting support to Bambu Heritage Production since 2014. In 2023, I was the lighting designer and director for The Mansa World launched at the UNESCO (United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization) headquarters in Paris, France. I am a member of IFTR (International Federation of Theatre Research), AFTA, WIL (Women in Lighting) Association and a founding member of the Women in Tech-Theatre Ghana.
Education
I am currently pursuing a PHD studies at Durban University of Technology, South Africa. I hold a Master of Philosophy (2018) in Theatre from the School of Performing Arts, University of Ghana, specializing in Lighting Design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Arts with Dance Studies (2007).
