Emmanuel Nii Adjei Sowah is as an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Music, School of Performing Arts, University of Ghana, Legon. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and History, and a Master of Philosophy Degree in Music from the University of Ghana, Legon. His Research Areas include Choral music, Hybridity in Ghanaian Choral Music, and Choral musical performances. His current research projects A Levite in the Time of Covid, From the Church to the World: A Study on the Outflow of Ghanaian Popular Musicians from the Church, Experiencing the Choral Highlife Phenomenon, Valentine is Coming: A Study of Nigerian Choral Highlife, and Musical Dynamics in Ghanaian Mainline Churches. He has been involved in church activities and occupied the Choir Director and organist position for eleven (11) years. He also aids other denominational and non-denominational choral groups in Ghana.
