PEBO 418: Applied plant anatomy

This course is designed to delve into the application of the study of plant anatomy. The course will discuss the following broad areas: plant identification in biological research and social issues, classification and phylogeny; plant pathology, food adulterations and contaminations, dendrochronology, ecology plant anatomy, crime scene detection and animal feeding habits. The use of plant anatomy in the study of pharmacognosy will be emphasized
