In 2025, the University of Ghana dedicated significant efforts to connect with prospective students, parents, and educational stakeholders through a series of impactful outreach activities. These initiatives aim to inform, inspire, and support the next generation of leaders by providing vital insights into our academic programs, admission processes, and campus life.

Key Outreach Initiatives in 2025

School Engagements: Between April and August 2025, our Admissions Unit, in collaboration with College Academic Officers and School Administrators, visited numerous Senior High Schools across Ghana—including Achimota, Labone, Aburi Girls, and others—to share information about university programs, entry requirements, and student support services. These visits foster direct dialogue and guidance for final-year students considering higher education.

Open Day 2025: Held from October 22 to 24, this flagship event offered an immersive two-day campus experience at Legon and Korle Bu campuses, complemented by a nationwide webinar. Over 800 participants engaged in campus tours, interacted with faculty and staff, and gained firsthand insights into our academic offerings and student life. The virtual component attracted approximately 100 viewers nationwide and beyond, expanding our reach beyond physical boundaries.

Educational Tours: Several schools participated in educational tours to the University’s Legon campus, including Tema Royal Basic School, Shine International School, and others. These visits featured interactive sessions that highlighted our academic programs and admissions procedures, inspiring students to pursue higher education.
