The Admissions Outreach Strategy Implementation Committee (AOSIC) with the support the Academic Affairs Directorate successfully organized the 2025 Open Day from October 22 to 24, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the University's engagement with the public. This flagship event offered a unique three-day experience, combining two days of immersive physical tours at the Legon and Korle Bu campuses with a comprehensive webinar to ensure reach for participants across the country and beyond.
The event saw impressive turnout, with 700 to 800 individuals participating in the on-campus sessions and approximately 100 attendees joining the virtual webinar. Prospective students, parents, and the general public were given the opportunity to interact directly with faculty and staff from all University Colleges. These sessions provided critical insights into undergraduate academic programmes, state-of-the-art facilities, admission requirements, and the wide range of student support services available at Legon.
This initiative is central to the University’s Strategic Priority 1.1, which focuses on attracting and retaining promising students from diverse backgrounds. By fostering direct communication and transparency, the 2025 Open Day reaffirmed the University of Ghana's commitment to excellence in student recruitment and academic quality.
