Two years ago, on September 8, 2023, Prof. Ransford Edward Van Gyampo, then President of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG-UG) and faculty member in the Department of Political Science, made a remarkable donation to the Academic Affairs Directorate. He presented a high-performance Lenovo laptop computer and a Samsung Galaxy Tab to the Students’ Services and Records Unit, a gesture that has since supported the Directorate in enhancing service delivery to students.
Today, as Prof. Gyampo serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers’ Authority, we take a moment to celebrate his generosity and lasting impact. His thoughtful contribution continues to improve student records management, communication, and access to services within the Directorate.
The Academic Affairs Directorate remains grateful for Prof. Gyampo’s commitment and encouragement to give back to the University. His example stands as an inspiration for others within the University community to contribute in ways that strengthen institutional capacity and enrich the student experience.
