University Hospital Receives Donation from Office of Students with Special Needs

The University Hospital has received a donation of 30 wheelchairs from the Office of Students with Special Needs (OSSN) at a brief ceremony held at the forecourt of the University of Ghana Computing Systems (UGCS).

Presenting the wheelchairs, Dr. Efua Esaaba Mantey, Coordinator, Office of Students with Special Needs (OSSN) stated that her office received the wheelchairs from the Henry Djaba Foundation in December last year and OSSN has decided to present some of the wheelchairs to the University Hospital to assist in service delivery of patients. 

She also disclosed that her office was privileged to assist the needs of the patients at the Hospital.

Receiving the donation, Mrs. Annie Ayesu, Acting Administrator, University Health Services, thanked OSSN for being a benefactor of patients at the hospital. She stated that the hospital lacked wheelchairs and the donation was timely and will be very useful for the provision of adequate services to patients.

In brief remarks, Dr. Mark Frempong, Director, University Health Services, reiterated appreciation to OSSN and assured that the Hospital Administration will ensure the wheelchairs are managed effectively.

Present at the Ceremony were Mrs. Deborah Dadzie, Chief Pharmacist, University Health Services; Mr. Richmond Odoom, Accountant, University Health Services; Mr. Alex Bankole, Assistant Technology Manager, UGCS; Mrs. Irene Tei Doe, Miss Christiana Anokye, Mrs. Eva Safo, Mrs. Joyce Nyarkoa Agbedoxor and Mr. Paul Amuzu, all of OSSN.
