1.  AI Training for Faculty and Senior Administrative & Professional Staff:

The Academic Quality Assurance Directorate (AQAD) is organizing a Training for Faculty on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) support for Article Writing and for Teaching and Learning as well as for Report and Minutes Writing for Senior Administrative and Professional Staff of the University. The training is scheduled as follows:
Date: Monday, 11th March, 2024 – Thursday, 14th March, 2024
Time: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

2. Webinar - College of Education:

The Academic Quality Assurance Directorate (AQAD) is organizing a webinar titled "Mainstreaming AI in Teaching and Research: Challenges and Opportunities in Open and Distance Education.

3. Best Lecturer Award:

To stimulate and encourage Lecturers to give their best, a Committee has been constituted to develop the methodology and the award of the best Lecturer using the CLE.

 

4. CLE for Distance and Pre-Medical Students in the College of Health Sciences (CHS):

The CLE Portal for the second semester of the 2022/2023 academic year for students in the School of Distance and Continuing Education, and Pre-Clinical Medical Students in the College of Health Sciences (CHS) is underway.

 

5. Introduction of CLE for Clinical Practices Courses:

The Unit is in the process of finalizing and uploading an instrument that will help evaluate clinical practice courses at the CHS by students.

 

 

 

 Welcome to the Academic Quality Assurance Directorate

The Academic Quality Assurance Directorate (AQAD) is responsible for overseeing academic quality in all Academic Units, Programmes and Institutions which award University of Ghana degrees. The AQAD seeks to establish and safeguard high standards and good practices in teaching, learning and assessment.

Its remit is to ensure that approved quality standards are adhered to at the University of Ghana and that management are well informed about problems associated with maintaining such standards for appropriate action.
