Colombian Ambassador to Ghana Calls on the Vice-Chancellor

On Thursday 8th July 2021, the Ambassador of Colombia to Ghana, Her Excellency Claudia Turbay Quintero, paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu.

Ambassador Quintero expressed appreciation for the warm reception and recalled the cooperation she has received from the University since she assumed office eight years ago. The purpose of this visit was to discuss the possibility of the University signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Cartagena, Columbia. Ambassador Quintero also invited the University of Ghana to participate in the ethno-education conference slated for November 2021 in Dubai.

In response, the Vice-Chancellor expressed gratitude for the visit and indicated that the University’s Offices of Legal Counsel and International Programmes will review the MoU and provide the Ambassador with feedback.

Also present at the meeting were Prof. Andrew Anthony Adjei, Coordinator, Vice-Chancellor’s Strategic Teams; Mr. Joseph Oduro Nkansah, Deputy Registrar, Vice Chancellor’s office; and Ms. Eccles Andoh, Acting Director, Public Affairs Directorate.
