On February 5th, 2025, the Department welcomed Mr. Ebenezer Appah-Sampong, former Deputy Executive Director for Technical Services at Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Ghana, for an interaction with Level 400 Environmental Studies and Governance students. He is currently the CEO of Eco Solutions Industries Ltd. 

His presentation traced the evolution of environmental governance in Ghana, highlighting the transition from the Environmental Protection Council (EPC) to the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA). He also provided insights into environmental education, the significance of Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), and the effective management of electronic waste (e-waste). His talk offered students a rich historical and policy-oriented perspective on environmental governance and sustainability in Ghana.
