As part of the Department's outreach and community engagement efforts, students from St. Peter & Paul Catholic School and Royal Avenue School visited the Department of Plant and Environmental Biology. During their visit, the students were introduced to foundational concepts such as photosynthesis, mushroom cultivation, and vegetative propagation. They also explored the herbarium and toured the botanical gardens, where they observed and interacted with a wide variety of plant species—bringing their classroom lessons to life. The visit was both educational and inspiring, helping ignite a curiosity for science at an early age.
