Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory

Medical Laboratory Sciences is a field of applied biology and chemistry that focuses on conducting analytical tests on blood, tissue, and body fluids to provide laboratory information for the detection, diagnosis and treatment of human diseases. The f ield of Medical Laboratory Science also involve performing chemical, haematological, immunologic, microscopic and bacteriological diagnostic analyses on body fluids such as urine, blood, sputum, stool, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), peritoneal f luid, pericardial fluid, and synovial f luid as well as other specimens.

Bachelor of Science in Dietetics

Dietetics is concerned with interpretation and communication of the science of nutrition to enable people make informed and practical choices about food and lifestyle, in both health and disease. The study of Dietetics is deeply rooted in the physiological, biochemical and behavioural sciences as well as social, environmental, cultural and psychological factors affecting food accessibility and dietary intake. Aside addressing nutritional needs of patients, dietitians prevent and treat illnesses by promoting healthy eating habits and recommending dietary modifications.
