Prof. Angela Parry-Hanson Kunadu is a Professor of Food Microbiology and Safety and Head of the Department of Nutrition and Food Science at the University of Ghana. She holds a PhD in Food Science from the University of Pretoria and has over 17 years of experience in academia, research, and the food industry.

Her research addresses food microbiology and food safety, with emphasis on strengthening informal food value chains, including dairy, poultry, fish, meat, and leafy vegetables. She also works on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) genomics and nanoencapsulation-based interventions to control foodborne pathogens and extend shelf life, bridging laboratory science with food systems policy to deliver affordable, scalable solutions for Ghana and Africa.
