“Our strategic priorities include offering a transformative student experience and creating a conducive environment for innovative learning,” Professor Amfo added. She emphasised that programmes like internship initiatives are critical to preparing students for the job market.

Mr. Julian Opuni explained that ‘Historically, our engagement with the University has been very limited, and we want to change that by supporting your key strategic objectives." Highlighting education as one of the bank’s priority sectors, he mentioned that the University of Ghana will be a critical partner institution.

The Fidelity Bank MD expressed particular interest in supporting the University’s student accommodation efforts and digital initiatives, among others. He also proposed the idea of a structured internship programme, potentially involving multiple companies, to provide work experience and talent development opportunities for University of Ghana students.

Director of the Institutional Advancement Directorate, Professor Samuel Kwasi Dartey-Baah,  expressed excitement that the Bank considers that some of UG’s flagship projects align with their interests. He also shared the University’s need for partners to support scholarships through the Student Financial Aid Office.
