On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, has visited the University Basic School (UBS) to encourage the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates.

She was accompanied by some senior UG officials as well as members of the Chaplaincy Board and the UBS Parent Teacher Association.

The Acting Head of School, Mr. Eric Sifa, in delivering welcome remarks, reported that 125 pupils from the University Basic School are taking part in this year’s BECE.

Addressing the candidates as part of her annual interaction with final year pupils, Professor Amfo reassured them of the university community’s unwavering support. Acknowledging that this is the first major examination experience for many, she urged them to remain calm, trust in their efforts and avoid exam malpractices, quoting Philippians 4:6-7 for inspiration.
