UG Strengthens Registry Security with Modern Access Control System, Unveils Walls of Honour
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, together with UG Management, commissioned a modern access control system at the entrance of Convocation Group of Buildings (Registry).
The system was set up by Angel Data & Telecom Services as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility. It is intended to strengthen the protection of critical administrative spaces and enhance safety for staff and visitors. It also aligns with the University’s Strategic Priorities, particularly on Commitment to Faculty and Staff and Sustainable Resource Mobilisation and Stewardship.
In a related initiative, refurbished Walls of Honour were unveiled at the same venue. They feature the names of past Chancellors, Chairs of University Council, Executive Heads, Pro Vice-Chancellors and recipients of various faculty and staff awards over the years. The Walls of Honour celebrate the contributions of individuals who have played key roles in shaping the University’s legacy and impact.
