UG Computer Science Lecturer Dr. Ansah Named IT & Digital Executive of the Year

Dr. Prince Alvin Kwabena Ansah, a Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science, University of Ghana, has been named IT & Digital Executive of the Year at the Ghana Executive Awards 2025. The awards ceremony was held at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, under the theme “Celebrating Leadership, Individual and Team Excellence, Building a Stronger Ghana.”
Dr. Ansah was recognised for his contributions to digital transformation both within the University and on a national scale. At the University of Ghana, he played a key role in the development of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system aimed at streamlining core administrative, academic and financial processes. His efforts have significantly enhanced the efficiency and responsiveness of operations across various units of the University.

He also serves as the Technical Lead for the implementation of the Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS), a nationwide digital platform that has transformed customs operations in Ghana. The system has improved trade facilitation, transparency and revenue mobilisation across the country’s ports and borders.
